I shot Jessica & Sean’s engagement shoot a few months ago in Ybor City Florida, If you scroll down you will see some of the amazing Images we shot, from that day I knew their wedding would be something special. I was not disappointed, Jessica’s beauty shone through the whole wedding and I was allowed to exercise as much creativity as I wished, what a wonderful day for all of us.

Beautiful light, stunning Bride & a wedding full of Italian flavor. What can I say about Heather, she had the poise of an Italian super model, eyes so dark & deep they would melt the hardest of souls and to cap it off she just laughed & giggled the whole day which gave testament to the fact that she was indeed a pleasure to photograph.Jeff on the other hand was every bit the cool & calm groom, a drifter by profession he and the boys were a perfect balance to the beautiful female side of the wedding party…

Mindy & Michael came to Shakespeare Photography as a recommendation from Jon’s Bridal in Tampa, since they bought their dress from there we gave them a very cool studio pre wedding shoot, I taught them how to look good in front of the camera, best way to stand, sit & how to have fun, and most importantly to be natural in front of the camera.

I am due to shoot their wedding in the coming months & I cannot wait, we had such a great time during the shoot, I can imagine the wedding will be even better. Take a look at a small video of the time we had together.

Another amazing wedding and yet another blow for my husband (Simon used to seminar about wedding photography) we compare each others shoots regularly, the friendly rivalry keep us hungry to out do each other. Its as much fun as shooting the wedding its-self.

I think I am the luckiest wedding photographer as all of my clients are just a dream, just to put Brides minds at rest, between myself & Simon, we have shot upwards of 900 weddings all over the world in the last 12 years and can honestly say that nothing has ever gone wrong in any of them, sure buttons fall off, and drinks get spilled but never anything that makes you go AAHHH.

Rita & T Rex were no exception, a dream to shoot, amazing to work with and their pictures reduced them to tears, here are just a few to set the scene.

So while Simon was playing Hollywood super star in Ybor City I was shooting real weddings, Justin & Victoria were just scrumptious, Victoria used to be a dancer so she had no problems at all bending in all sorts of directions, made me feel so stiff watching her, although I think Justin enjoyed it more than I did, They received more than 700 pictures of their amazing day, although I have only posted a handful to give you an idea of the awesome time I spent with them. Beat that Mr Shakespeare!!!

I have since shot Jessica & Seans wedding & will try & post some Images in the next few days however here are a few Images from a shoot we did in Ybor city a few days earlier. I have to say, Jessica is a joy to shoot, beautiful eyes & that gorgeous red hair, I was in my elements, Sean could be any cooler If he tried, I have to admit I tend to work my clients hard, always looking for those amazing Images.

Luckily Photography is important to the amazing people we shoot, so as with Jess & Sean all of my ideas were met with equal excitement, here are just a few of the hundred or so Images they received, enjoy…

Simon

I think one of the problems of being a busy wedding studio is having an open mind & treating every wedding as a blank canvas. Creativity is a gift most rewarding, yet in a wedding environment where every vendor has a timeline and every guest wishes to spend time with the bride & groom it can also be one of the most frustrating gifts.

It is so easy to just do the job, record everything that happens on the day, take the group shots, get the smiles, deliver a cookie cutter wedding. The bride & groom will like the pictures, the parents be happy with them, the bit that bothers me is that nobody will love them,

Its this feeling of selling your soul which keeps us rocking as wedding photographers, we constantly plead with coordinators for just a few more minutes as the sun is setting, we constantly have a problem with selective hearing as we are told ‘you can’t shoot in here’ we strive for just one more shot, one more moment, because we know that in ten years time the shot we captured where your grandpa held your hand & with tears in his eyes told you how beautiful you looked, will become one of your most precious memories,
